As we head into the final stretch of the school year, it is hard to believe that only nine days of school remain. The year has flown by, and these last days are packed with important milestones and opportunities to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and staff.
Tuesday is Pre-Exam Day, and final exams will begin immediately afterward. We encourage all students to finish the year strong, remain focused, and make the most of these final days in the classroom. Please remember that attendance is required for all exams, and students should review the exam schedule carefully.
The past two weeks have been filled with outstanding achievements, memorable events, and celebrations across our school community. From academic honors and student competitions to performances, field trips, and end-of-year activities, there has been no shortage of reasons to be proud of our Lions.
Be sure to explore this week's Roar Report for a complete look at everything happening at Leonia High School as we close out another successful school year.
GO LIONS!

Our 9th Grade STEM Cohort took an unforgettable trip to the Liberty Science Center. They had the privilege of videoconferencing directly into a Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Operating Room to observe a live kidney transplant surgery in real time. They had front-row seats to observe the teamwork, process, and technology required to perform this surgery. Students were able to speak directly with the medical team during the surgery to ask about the procedure, anatomy, surgical tools, and the process to become a medical professional. We are proud of how our freshman cohort represented our school with their thoughtful questions.

The Cybersecurity class concluded the year with a lively debate centered on the question: Who should be held accountable when a cyberweapon spreads across the globe, causing widespread suffering and economic disruption?
Using the real-world case of the EternalBlue exploit, students assumed the roles of various groups involved in the incident. The U.S./NSA team blamed the Russian-linked Sandworm group, while Sandworm pointed the finger at North Korea's Lazarus Group. Lazarus, in turn, redirected the blame back to the Russians.
After hearing the evidence and arguments from all sides, a jury of their peers ultimately found the Shadow Brokers responsible. The debate challenged students to think critically about cybersecurity, ethics, attribution, and accountability in an increasingly interconnected world.
It was a fitting way to end a fantastic year of learning, collaboration, and exploration in cybersecurity!
